2nd Birthday Party Theme: Where TWO!? ✈️
One moment you’re bringing your newborn home from the hospital (more posts on mom life here), and the next you’re dancing with your TWO year old at their birthday party.
It’s crazy how life before Wilder seems SO distant and foreign, yet these past 2 years have truly flown by. Life, man!
Anyways, I wanted to document our Wild Man’s big 2nd birthday with a little blog post recap!
We kept his birthday pretty low-key & minimal! I picked a cute theme, got a custom cake and cookies, made a cheese board, brought some bubbles and the location had the wine & live music! It was ideal. We spent the day at Arrington Vineyard in Nashville, TN. It was a GORGEOUS, cool, sunny day surrounded by friends and fam, and I absolutely adored the theme… which I’ll get more into below!
I decided to go with the theme “Where TWO!?”! ✈️🌎 I had never seen it done before and wasn’t sure if people would get it? ha but I’m so glad I ran with it. Being adventurous has always been a huge passion for me, and it’s been the greatest joy to continue that passion with my family. Whether it’s traveling abroad or trying a new restaurant in town, we like to be spontaneous and embrace the unknowns of trying new things and places! Wilder has already become quite the world traveler, from Florida to Hawaii to Italy and many places in between! Some say it’s pointless to travel with your baby when they “won’t remember”, and I say that’s BS.
Every single moment, feeling and experience is shaping their little being! these are their most malleable years, and everything down to the energy that you give off as parents is molding the person they will become. He is such a go-with-the-flow baby and I have no doubt his experiences adapting to new environments and time zones and people have played a role in that. Most importantly, these beautiful memories and pictures made as a family is something Landon, Wilder and I will cherish forever :)
So, this theme felt so special and relevant to us!
I’ll quit talking here and let the pictures & links do the rest… starting with his birthday pancakes because it’s my new favorite pic of him.
