My Vivace RF Microneedling Experience
This post is in partnership with Vivace Microneedling. As always, all opinions are my own.
Ok I’m not sure if this is even possible, but (humble brag alert) I swear my skin looks and feels better now than it did nearly 10 years ago.
Of course I have a few more freckles and fine lines that inevitably come with aging — but the overall texture, complexion and youthfulness is better than it’s been in years.
As I’m wrapping up my final year in my 20’s *sigh* I’ve been really educating myself on preventative skincare and doing everything I can to keep that natural, youthful “glow”. My daily routine is relatively simple and includes exfoliating and hydrating- with retinol and vitamin C serum being my top 2 ride or die products.
However I wanted to take my skincare to another level, and this is when I came across Vivace RF Microneedling. I dug in and did my research…
Fast forward to today when I got my 3rd Vivace treatment, and I have been more than obsessed with the results.
I’ve been getting A TON of questions over the past few months after the first time I spoke about Vivace, so I wanted to answer some of y’alls FAQ’s and share a bit more about my experience.
What is Vivace Microneedling?
Vivace is a minimally invasive treatment performed by trained aestheticians. It stimulates natural collagen production by using microneedling and radio-frequency.
Some places will offer the application of PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) which is derived from the serum portion of your blood (you may remember this as the “vampire facial” from Kim K!). The PRP is loaded with growth factors, so this is essentially using your own blood to help promote cell growth! I always get this done—go big or go home, right?
What are the benefits?
Ahh the benefits are endless and I’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced them for months now!
+boosts natural collagen production
+contours and tightens the skin
+opens the pores to easily hydrate & moisturize to get that “glow”
+alleviates fine lines and wrinkles
+improves acne scarring
What’s the downtime?
Virtually no downtime! I was very red for about an hour or two, and then it started to subside to nothing. They say to wait a few hours before putting any makeup on as the pores are still open… but after that you’re good to go with your new glow ;)
How soon do you see results?
I notice a huge difference later on in the same day, but results keep improving over time. As the body continues to regenerate collagen, the effects continue to increase for months. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving!
Does it hurt?
Extremely minimal discomfort if any… and this is coming from a major pain baby! They apply a numbing cream for about 20 minutes prior to treatment, so you barely feel a thing.
Where can you get it done?
The official Vivace website actually has a search feature here to find trained aestheticians in your area.
If you live in or near Nashville, Tennessee, I highly recommend going to SLK clinic! It is a beautiful clinic with extremely kind and knowledgeable staff. Not only do they do Vivace RF Microneedling, they offer a variety of services such as lasers, peels and injectables. They offer spa-like treatments with medical grade results!
(If you’re interested in a Vivace treatment with the same clinic I went to, use code SLK15 for 15% off).
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies greatly depending on the clinic, as well as the area of treatment… but most places would average a Vivace facial treatment between $600-$1100.
Is it worth the investment?
100% yes! Knowing what I know now, especially how well my skin responds to Vivace- I dont think I’ll ever stop getting this treatment. Yes it’s a little pricey, but I’d personally rather invest and spend money on a treatment that is triggering natural collagen production and making a real difference from within. Whereas a basic facial can exfoliate, extract, and hydrate your skin… these results are extremely short lived! Vivace rejuvenates your skin from the inside out and the benefits continue to get BETTER over time.
For those asking about HOW red I was and for how long… here are some photos of DURING the procedure, immediately after the procedure, and then a few hours later once I was able to put a little makeup on to meet friends for drinks.
So in short, there is virtually no downtime- a little red for a couple hours, and then it subsides to nothing but a glow.
My makeup literally glided on as if I didn’t have any pores— and I’m still glowing in a way that no highlighter could ever achieve! I already can’t wait to get in for my next session.

Anyways- I hope y’all have an amazing weekend and we’ll talk soon :)
