Fall Spiced Stovetop Potpourri

Potpourri, Fall-Spiced

It's FALL YA'LL!

...and you know what that means: time to wear comfy winter clothes, drink an obnoxious amount of pumpkin lattes and make your home smell like SPICED HEAVEN!

There's nothing better then walking into a home and getting hit in the face with edible air.

Ya there are sprays and candles, but nothing quite as potent as this easy, simmering recipe... and most importantly, it's all natural. We don't like nasty chemicals around here.

There's really no "magic" recipe to make this potpourri concoction. The possibilities are endless- use whatever spices/fruits you have in your home.

Typical fall scents: pumpkin, cinnamon, cranberry, vanilla, orange, apple.

My favorite combo:

  • Peel, slice or chop an orange (I did all 3)
  • Slice or chop an apple (I did both)
  • Cinnamon sticks- add a few dashes of ground cinnamon for extra punch
  • Vanilla sticks (I paid $4 per stick for these pricey babies- so feel free to use vanilla extract instead)
  • Throw into pot of water
  • Let simmer on stove
